Operation of solenoid valves

A solenoid valve is an electromechanical device that controls the flow of a fluid through an automated opening and closing system.

The heart of the system is an electromagnetic coil that, once powered, generates a magnetic field capable of activating the movement of a movable core.

Depending on the valve configuration, this core allows or blocks fluid passage.

Solenoid valves can be direct-acting, servo-assisted, or diaphragm-operated, depending on the pressure and type of fluid to be managed.
